Charm bag, Wash, Incense & More to promote Happy Home!
In this day of single parents or two working parents,
financial crisis, over scheduled and over stimulated children, and all
of the other stressors that go with the techno-rush-must do it
now-lifestyle we all lead, sometimes home is NOT the relaxing and happy
place we want it to be. There are a number of simple but highly
effective magickal workings that can be done to promote a more happy and
relaxed abode! Wouldn't it be nice to walk in the house and feel like
some of the stress just melts away, rather than feeling like you just
added to it?
The first thing I recommend is regular smudging. If you are not familiar
with this cross cultural art of clearing an area with sage, just email.

Now, onward and forward to making a happy home...in addition to
smudging, there are more simple and effective things you can do to
promote a positive home environment! Try one of the ideas (or all of
them!) below.
Happy Home Floorwash
What you will need:
* Holy Water
* Florida Water (available in many Hispanic markets, and even in my
local Dollar General)
* White Vinegar
* Sweet Basil leaves
* Lavender
* Cascarilla Powder (available in Santeria/Hoodoo/New Age shop)
Bring a small pan of water to boil while crushing the basil and lavender
in a mortar and pestle. Dried or fresh herbs either one will work. Put
the herbs in the water and turn off the heat. Let that steep for an hour
(like a tea), then strain out the leaves. Add the 'tea' and the rest of
the ingredients to a bucket of floor wash (mop water). Use this wash to
cleanse all entrance areas as well as windowsills, floors, and porch
while focusing on your desire for a happy home.
Happy Home Display
Place dried motherwort in a clear glass jar. Motherwort is traditionally
used in talismans and amulets, burned with incense and used in any
magickal ritual for the benefit of home and family, particularly for the
benefit of the female sex. Place photographs of the family around the
jar.
Happy Home Charm Bag
What you will need:
* One Sweet Bay (also know as Laurel or Bay Tree) leaf and one garlic
clove for each member of the family
* Small charm bag
* Salt
* Five Finger Grass (also known as Cinquefoil)
* one Iron Nail
* Van Van or Protection Oil
Place one Laurel leaf and one Garlic Clove for each member of the family
in the charm bag. For example: Four family members equals four Laurel
leaves and four Garlic cloves. Add a pinch of salt, a pinch of
Cinquefoil, and the iron nail. Anoint the bag with the oil and hang
discreetly in the home. Anoint with fresh oil once a week.
Happy Home Oil Warmer Blend
Mix essential oils of Coriander, Chamomile, and Spearmint with a carrier
oil in an oil warmer or diffuser to promote a relaxed and happy home.
Happy Home Incense Blend
Mix equal parts of frankincense, myrrh, and liquidambar resins (also
known as benzoin or styrax). Crush in a mortar and pestle and burn on
charcoal to clear negative energy and promote a happy home.
